Aston Martin Revealed its first Electric Sedan

Aston martin CEO Andy Palmer announced through twitter that their Rapide E prototype drove off under its own power for the first time. Rapide E is the first electric car of the company designed with a mandate to retain and enhance the feel, character and delivery of V12-Engined Rapide S.

The car will use the groundbreaking 800V battery system which will be compatible with DC fast chargers. With the equivalent of 602HP to a projected top speed of 155 MPH the car will also use twin electric motors driving all four wheels.

The company revealed the car through a parking lot video providing a better look at the car beyond design drawing, concept model and sneak peeks. This model will definitely make you miss the petrol-powered V12 roar but it will be an efficient move toward the betterment of electric cars.

Palmer referred unveiling of tis car as another prince of Aston Martin History but did not reveal the further details of the same. According to the company, the Rapide E will be out for sale in the fourth quarter of this year. User will be able to glance through its motion on road by end of this year.
