Ethiopian Airlines jet has crashed shortly just after its take off from Addis Abada killing 149 passengers & 8 crew members on the flight ET302. The airline announced that all passengers on board were killed on the flight flying from Ethiopian Capital to Nairobi in Kenya killing 32 Kenyans, 18 Canadians, 8 Americans and 7 British nationals amongst all the passengers.
The crash took place just 6 minutes after the take off at 8:44 local time. One more plane of the same making had been involved in a crash about five months ago which crashed near Indonesia into the sea with almost 90 passengers on board.
The cause of the crash is still unknown but just before the crash pilot had reported difficulties and further asked to return to Addis Abada. Ethiopian Airlines CEO Tewolde Gebremariam said, “at this early stage of investigation, we cannot rule out anything.” He further added, “We cannot also attribute the cause to anything because we will have to comply with the international regulation to wait for the investigation.”
An eyewitness at the crash scene told that there was an intense fire before the aircraft could hit the ground. Due to the strong fire of the blast nobody could go near the jet for any help. The airplane also included passengers from eight Italians, eight Chinese, seven Britons, seven French citizens, six Egyptians, five Germans, four Indians and four people from Slovakia.
