FDA Gives Approval for Non-invasive Blood flow Imaging Device

After AI software for detecting brain bleeds, FDA now gives approval for Noninvasive blood flow imaging device. It’s a device that shows the flow of blood without any surgical procedure which means there is no need for injection, radiation, dyes, direct patient contact to show blood flow. According to the company RFPi Inc., iCertainity is the first imaging device of such kind in the world.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given permission to the company to start marketing and offer the surgeons to use it in open surgery as an imaging medical device. This device has the capability to show real-time blood flow, along with perfusion in vascular structure as well as critical tissues during the surgery process. This imaging device which will be commercially available, will not use the surgical process but will use alternative ways like X rays, MRIs and ultrasound to analyse blood flow and perfusion of the patient during the process.

The CEO of RFPi Inc. in a press release said that iCertainity is an innovative and advanced imaging device that is easy, flexible and speedy technique which will benefit surgeons, hospitals as well as the patients. Patients undergo extreme discomfort and loss financially but this device will certainly be a relief for them. This device definetly has the potential to transform non-invasive medical imaging.
